That Sony is going to let Microsoft drop a brand new operating system onto their box before they (Sony) are able to even complete this one application. everytime I break down and enter a gamestop. I always try to go to a target, bb, even blockbuster before gamestop. I usually only enter one if I'm looking for an older used game that wasnt in stock at my local mom n' pop video game shop.

I realized you need the wifi adaptor (which i have) but costs extra. I also know I will be using the hdd space when the new "XBOX experience" hits later this fall, when I can rip my game to a hdd for a more silent and quicker load time. This isn't required however.
I still believe that the $199 offer is still a great deal for the more casual, less hard core gamer.
the 360 has been out the longest, period. Consoles go down in price to hit mainstream price points. Since the 360 was the first out of the gate, they are able to make this move. Nintendo could also cut their prices, and in all reality the wii should have started at $199 from the start.
Sony really cant cut too much more because they have already lost and continue lose $ for every console they sell to this day.

trophy support,in game soundtracks, weather changes, car damage just to name a few things...spend time on enhancing the actual game, I can watch speed tv anytime. I will never use this
windows media connect for free ages ago and and have had access to my movies, music via streaming since the 360 and came out...these programs are not new. the day I bought my ps3 as soon as I plugged it in the internal wireless connection picked this program up as well. Now if ps3 will get its act together and allow me to stream my music in game.
you may be right that it doesn't matter when Sony Launches HOME, but only b/c it doesn't look all that fun or useful.

I love my ps3 and all but psn has been playin imitate and catch up this whole gen when it comes to their online service... live has always been 2 steps ahead of the others in this space.
